Verdict

AMAZING EAGLE (12) doesn’t win out of turn but he’s got talent and the set-up at the minimum looks perfect. He should land right on speed, stalk a strong pace and prove hard to hold out late. GRAND IMPACT (2) is a reliable gelding who maps well third up after two strong efforts, but giving the Eagle 7kg is no small task even with Lloyd giving him every chance. PHOTOGRAPH (9) resumes for the Hayes boys and her peak ratings measure up strongly under the light weight. Two sharp Flemington jump outs say she’s ready to fire. MONTE KATE (11) gets in light and has enough early pace to offset the wide alley and run them along, which could make her very pesky. ROMEO’S CHOICE (3) went amiss last start but her two prior runs here are a much better guide, and from a softer draw she’s worth keeping safe.
