PURE LOTUS (7) fought on gamely for sixth in stronger company at Ellerslie last start where he was in the firing line before fading late to finish sixth. He drops back in grade, and is expected to bounce straight back into the money here. YOKOZUNA (3) has had excuses in recent outings, settling well back before making limited ground at Ellerslie last time. He is better than those results suggest and is capable of producing a much-improved performance in this. Can win. JURISPRUDENCE (4) was below his best most recently but had shown encouraging form prior and is worth another chance. A return to form would be no surprise in this field. NOBLE CABELLO (12) broke through with a deserved maiden victory at Arawa Park last start and he has the scope to go right on with the job. GIRLZGIRLZGIRLZ (10) was an impressive maiden winner at only her second start at Tauranga 3 weeks ago, and an extra 200m is the ideal next step for this progressive filly. Stick with her.
