Verdict

LUNA WILL DO (8) has the strongest case after resuming with a narrow second to Dawn Dancer in Open company at Belmont, beaten just under a length after travelling well and looming to win. That form was seen in the Max Simmonds on Saturday. Laid the foundations fresh and she can raise the bar now. FIREARM (1) is the obvious danger after charging home from the rear to win a Mdn at Northam, and his earlier second to Official Business reads well despite the quick back-up and top weight. PUCKER UP (11) resumes off a Lark Hill trial placing and was last seen running second as favourite at Belmont, with her debut fourth to Dawn Dancer stronger than it looks after she began awkwardly and was held up. GREY OL' DAY (2) led and won a Northam Mdn as favourite, having already placed in Open grade at Belmont, and his current campaign gives him a genuine minor-winning hope. ANDALADY (6) was too good on debut and she can go on with the job.

    Verdict
Resumed with a very solid second in Open company over 1000m at Belmont Park, beaten just under a length by Dawn Dancer after travelling well and looming strongly on soft ground. She was also sound before a break when fourth to Achy Breaky after difficulty getting clear. Back in grade now and out in distance are big ticks, and she makes plenty of appeal from a favourable barrier.

    Verdict
Has been very consistent this campaign, winning a Northam Mdn as favourite after sitting just behind the leaders and holding out Firearm by a neck. He had been beaten only a nose by Jemconi at Belmont Park the run prior, again as favourite. Form out of his last start has been solid and he can feature once again.

Won on debut in a Bunbury Mdn over 1000m, starting odds-on and tracking the speed before beating Capall Gasta by a neck on soft ground. She is lightly raced and open to natural improvement, with Lucy Fiore staying aboard. Out in trip now and while she's drawn out, she can get across and give a bold sight.

    Verdict
Resumes after a three-month break with a Lark Hill trial placing behind her, and her two Belmont Park runs read well enough for this. She was last seen second in a Mdn as favourite, beaten half a length by Marcos, after a debut fourth to Dawn Dancer when she began awkwardly and was held up. Drawn out, though she can resume with a forward showing.

    Verdict
Produced a sharp third-up win in a Mdn at Northam, overcoming a slow start and covering ground before sweeping home to beat Swing Bar by a long neck. He had run Official Business to a neck at Northam the start prior after being hampered passing the 350m, so the form has substance. Strong winner last time out and he can keep the ball rolling.

    Verdict
Made a solid debut when fourth in a Northam Mdn won by Official Business, beaten just over a length after beginning slowly and settling midfield. She was near the top of an open market, so there was some expectation, and that form links through Firearm. Improvement keeps her in the place mix.

    Verdict
Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign ninth in the G2 Karrakatta Plate at this track, beaten just under seven lengths after making no late impression. Her previous fifth in Open company had some merit after racing wide throughout, and she has since won a Belmont Park trial. Won't be far away on resumption.

Worked home fairly for fourth behind Andalady in a Bunbury Mdn first-up, beaten a length and a half after being slow to begin and meeting interference. That gives her some excuse, and she has placed at this venue before. Drawn the inside but others rate better.

Led throughout to break through in a Mdn at Northam, starting favourite and safely holding Majestic Mirage by a length and a half. That followed a sound third in Open grade at Belmont Park on soft ground, where he was only beaten two lengths after some interference in the straight. Too good last time out and he can repeat the dose.

    Verdict
Returns from a four-month break after winning her Belmont Park debut in a Mdn on soft ground, where she tracked the lead and drove hard late to beat Force Field by a head. She has trialled at Lark Hill two weeks ago and resumes for a new trainer, so readiness is the key unknown. Recent trial helps, and she has upside if ready fresh.

    Verdict
Makes his debut with only trial evidence to assess, having trialled at Belmont Park last month after two 1000m hit-outs where he finished eighth. The pedigree has some depth as a half brother to G3 performer Patch Of Theta, and Paul Harvey takes the ride. Market may tell more.
