His previous run when fresh was better than it suggests, and third-up he looks well placed to break through. THE PUNK ROCKER (6) is the main danger. His fourth here two back when beaten a length at big odds reads well for a race of this shape and out in trip can threaten. ELROND (1) has been sixth at his past two Gawler runs, beaten within two and a half lengths in both. Well placed and in the mix if the quick back-up suits. MIZZEN JIB (4) was well beaten first-up at Mildura, but he raced keenly and was bumped, leaving some room for second-up improvement if he handles the stronger company.
