Anything but your run-of-the-mill 3YO provincial maiden with no shortage of debutants from top stables who have impressed at the jumpouts. It'd be a shock if a few of them didn't turn out to be metro class. Siding with the Freedmans' Wootton Bassett colt STRIKE PACKAGE (3) who looked good in his latest jumpout at Caulfield when he finished stylishly under a light ride before being eased up late. Mark Zahra rode there and this is his only ride for the night. Home Affairs gelding SPLENDACIOUS (2) has finished second at his last two jumpouts and caught the eye finishing hard from the back in the latest. The inside alley should help him hold a spot. GO MAGGIE MAE (8) is drawn the other end of the scale out wide but showed good early speed in the latest trial, when she was a decisive winner. TRUANT (4) looks the best of the raced brigade and has fitness on his side after the first-up second. LONNEGAN (1) hit the line well in his latest jumpout and looks to have talent.
