Returns from a one-month freshening after a strong Warwick Farm third in CG BM72 metro company, beaten a length and a half by Fierceness on soft ground. He had raced keenly there yet still held the minor money, and his Illawarra Grange fourth prior had merit after jumping awkwardly. Easier company, barrier one and Jason Collett make him the one to beat.

Went close at Hawkesbury last start, sitting behind the leaders before taking over and being beaten just over half a length by Superata. That was a clear lift on his sixth over 1100m, but he now steps back to 1600m after one previous unplaced try around the trip. Claim helps again and should be in this for a long way.

Built a strong campaign and comes off a Hawkesbury BM68 win, leading and finding enough to beat Malbork Castle by a head on soft ground. That followed a narrow Nowra BM58 second as favourite, so his recent pattern is reliable. Siena Grima stays aboard with a 1.5kg claim, and he has already won at this distance. Grima's claim and the mile record make him a major winning hope.

Shaped better at Canberra last start, finishing fourth in a Class 2 over 1400m, beaten three and a half lengths after tracking the speed. This is a harder meeting, but he gets weight relief and returns to a distance where he has two wins and four placings from 15 starts. Has place claims if he brings his best mile form.

Comes back from BM68 and FM BM72 company, so the grade relief is tangible, and her record at 1600m is sound for this level. The issue is that she was sixth at Hawkesbury last start, beaten five and a half lengths by Showmara, with the rider reporting she did not handle the rain-affected conditions. No surprise to see her bounce back.

Was fair only at Beaumont (newcastle) last start, settling rearward and finishing eighth, beaten just under four lengths at generous odds. She had run third at Newcastle at long odds before that, but meets a harder assignment from country company and rises to a trip where her only previous try around 1600m was unplaced. Can race closer today but the mile looks a stretch.

Returns from a three-month break after being well beaten at this track, finishing second last behind Longinus by over 18 lengths on soft ground. A Hawkesbury trial a few weeks ago gives some readiness, and he did run fourth in BM68 grade at Kembla Grange in that earlier campaign. Last run was plain, so improvement is required fresh.
