Verdict

BEER BARON (4) has struggled to threaten of late but will find this a fair bit easier. Was a handy winner in tougher company earlier in the prep at Wagga over this trip. If he recaptures that form he will be hard to beat. ZUCCHERO (3) only warmed into late fresh and wasn't beaten that far in seventh. Will likely drift a long way back again from his draw but should be launching late. MOFEED (2) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish second over 1200m at Beaudesert. Gets an important 4kg claim and is nicely placed to play a major role. TRYANZA (5) was in the firing line on the turn and finished a close third last start at the first run back from a spell. Improvement to come. CUSTO (1) stuck on gamely into the placings fresh at the Sunshine Coast but struggled last time. Can bounce back sharply on the short turnaround.
