BALMIERRO (3) was unwanted in betting last time but scored easily over 2200m at Scone. Gets in well with the claim and can repeat the dose. MIMESSI (6) improved last time out to score by 1.75 lengths after being in contention on the bend over 2100m at Tamworth. Only has to hold his form to go close to repeating the dose. THUNDERING FALCON (5) is going better than his form reads and will find this easier on the quick back-up. Can play a more significant role this time. VALENTINE JOHN (1) will find this much easier than last start when finishing rearward in the LR Grafton Cup at this track. Backs up rapidly and deserves respect on best figures. BRIGHT THE SUN (4) is forever running on so should be happy to see a longer trip. Not dismissing.
