Verdict

CELTIC SIN (4) stepped up to 1400m at Newcastle last start and looked a chance in the run home but found one a little better. Has a tough gate to contend with but is very fit and should be ready for a peak performance. SPIRITUALISTIC (5) has been up for a while so probably appreciated a five-week let-up prior to her last start second over 1300m at Hawkesbury where it took the judge to settle the race. Should take a lot from that hit-out and is the big danger here on home soil. MAGENTA SKIES (7) is back after a ten-month break. Scored impressively over this distance at Newcastle at her second run then was thrown to the wolves in the Group One Flight Stakes which proved too rich. Good enough to win this despite the lay-off. CUESTA (2) impressed here two back over 1300m before failing in town recently. Can bounce back in this company. PESCHIERA (10) has been about the mark of late and can sneak into the frame.
