THREADS (12) has been thereabouts in two runs this prep, both at Sydney midweekers. Raced a bit keenly at one stage so did a fair job to grab third last start over this trip at Canterbury. Drops 3kgs under today's scale in a thinner race. Great opportunity to break through. CREATOR OF WORLD (1) started at $1.85 but let backers down last time out when he found one better over 1450m at the Illawarra Grange circuit. In the money at both runs over 1200m here so worth another chance. THE THORNCASTER (11) returns after a four-month break. Beaten a lip over 1400m at Eagle Farm in Saturday grade last prep which is strong form for a race like this. Recent trial winner who looks set for a bright start to the campaign. Gai and Adrian's CONFUCIUS (5) debuts. By Zoustar and is a half-brother to dual Group 2 placegetter Anode. Trialling okay - the wide gate is the biggest concern. USAIN BOSS (3) did a good job to finish second when fresh from a long spell at Wyong recently. In contention.
