Verdict

BOTANICAL BOY (3) returns from a let-up and since fitted with a 1050m tick over trial under a strong hold. Savaged the line with the 62kg when a narrow third over 1800m at Randwick Kensington in weaker class. Placed at the trip and gets his chance with the 4kg weight turnaround. WITHOUT PEER (5) was a month between runs from the wide barrier with a fast finishing eighth over 1600m at Warwick Farm. Blinkers go on and looks up to this from the good gate. SAMARELLE (2) keeps raising the bar this prep and not sure where her ceiling is. Sent north for a comfortable on speed win over 1800m at Eagle Farm. Jumps in weight and Roper retains the rise. Each way. DONATELLO (6) heading in the right direction and proven at this distance. Closed strongly from last on the turn with a tidy second over 1500m at Randwick. Will appreciate the good speed and can take a hand in the finish on the backup. STORM SEASON (4) holding her form and likely to hold a forward position from the wide draw. Place best.
