I'VE BEAN TRYIN' (7) relished the drop in grade with a dominant victory over 1400m at Canberra in a TAB Federal Open a week ago. Goes just as well over the mile and loves the sting out of the ground. Genuine each-way player. FIERCENESS (4) progressive gelding with the three wins from his last four starts. Rounded up a handy field with a solid win over 1600m at Warwick Farm in BM72 grade to make it two in a row. Can stalk the good tempo and take stopping. MONTPELLIER (3) never on the track from the wide gate with a courageous fourth in the Dubbo Cup over 1600m. Sticky gate again and don't dismiss. SPICY LU (2) must lift third up and the winkers go on. Sat on the fast tempo and was a spent force in the straight with a dismal last over 1600m in the Dubbo Cup. Will appreciate the sting out of the track and look for a better showing.
