BOOMSTRUCK (1) put in two solid runs to start this prep then blew the start and raced very roughly at the rear last time. Won his compulsory trial with a faultless display of front-running. Goes close with a repeat of the trial. THE WIDOWMAKER (9) won her most recent trial when coming from last with a nice burst down the outside, beating subsequent winner Chica De Oro & next up placegetter Queen Of The Sea. NOT MANY IF ANY (8) tricky draw for her debut but she showed a good sprint when charging home from a mile back to win her recent trial. LADY MARGAERY (12) improved showings in her two trials this prep with a 2nd and close 4th when not pushed from last.
