Verdict

DEE DEE EXPRESS (2) is the horse to beat after finishing second in a Class 3 at this track last start, and she comes back to Class 2 with a proven 1200m profile. Her one poor run at Goulburn is easier to overlook given she raced wide throughout and rebounded immediately. KENNY'S SWANS (3) has been beaten as favourite in both runs this campaign, but the substance is still strong. Ran a head second at this track two back, then third at Cootamundra, and his track-and-trip record keeps him right in the argument. CHOC CHIP (7) has upside after winning a Mdn at this venue first-up despite covering ground, so the rise to this company is the obvious test but she has scope. RIVERBEND UNICORN (6) has mixed recent form and yet the return to 1200m. Weight relief and winning rider back give him a sound each-way platform.

    Verdict
Resumed with a neat Mdn win at this track, beating Pure Warrior by just over a length as favourite despite racing wide throughout. That was only her third start, and she had been close enough in a soft-ground Mdn at Gundagai before spelling. This is stronger than a Mdn, but she has upside and clear claims again.

    Verdict
Has been very consistent without quite putting the race away this campaign, finishing third at Cootamundra last start after starting odds-on, then beaten just over a length by Navajo Code. Two back he was beaten a head in a BM58 at this track as favourite. Beaten favourite last time, but still a key winning chance.

    Verdict
Went within just over half a length in a Class 3 at this track last start, racing forward and being pipped late by Serenading in an open market. That was a sharp response to a wide, well-beaten Goulburn run, and she now comes back to Class 2 with an excellent 1200m record. Proven at 1200m, race fit and profiles as the one they have to beat.

    Verdict
Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign with a head second at Corowa, where he was favourite and was collared late by Forte Cheval. He had won a Class 1 at Albury the start before, beating Kendalia by a length and a half after leading and kicking strongly. Strong McDougall record and last-campaign form make him a genuine place hope.

    Verdict
Worked home only fairly when fifth in a Class 3 at Albury last week, beaten two lengths after settling rearward and failing to quicken. Her previous sixth in a Class 3 at this venue had some merit after she was restrained near the 300m and kept on from back in the field. Blinkers go on in a weaker race.

Resumed with a fourth in a Class 1 at Cootamundra, beaten two and a half lengths after beginning awkwardly and failing to quicken when close enough. He was also safely held by Just Hear Me Out in a Class 1 at Albury before the break, despite having some early interference. Fitter now and stays in the mix.

    Verdict
Returns from a lengthy spell after winning a Class 1 at Gundagai on heavy ground, beating Rain Queen by a head while racing wide. That followed a second-last finish in a BM50 at Narrandera when hampered and wide, so his form is uneven. Has a host of gear changes and can surprise fresh.

    Verdict
Returns from four weeks off after finishing last at Canberra, where he was at long odds, raced keenly and only held his ground behind Tulipwood. His previous run on heavy ground at this track was also plain, beaten over 12 lengths by Kool Kade. Finds an easier race and has a decent record here.

Had excuses when fifth in a BM50 at Wagga Riverside last start, beginning awkwardly and suffering some interference before finishing fairly behind Ta La Masca. She was eighth in a BM58 at Gundagai two back after leading and fading. Looks tested.

    Verdict
Returns from a lengthy spell after breaking through in a Mdn at Narrandera in a photo finish, having travelled well in front on soft ground. She had also placed at Corowa the start before, so her last campaign closed with honest form. The 1200m win record is light, but she can give a sight fresh.

Continued a gradual build when fourth in a BM50 at Wagga Riverside last start, beaten three and a half lengths after being bumped early and racing handy. His Canberra fifth two back was also sound enough at big odds. Outclassed.

    Verdict
Failed to finish off after leading in a BM50 at Wagga Riverside last start, beaten six and a half lengths by Santolini after beginning awkwardly. He had also finished ninth at Jerilderie in a BM50 when well found in betting. Assess on the good win three back.
