LEG GODT (10) is the one to beat on the strength of her better winter form, particularly the Bunbury fifth where she picked up nicely after settling back. Her final run before the break at Pinjarra was plain, but there was some interference near the 400m and she resumes for Peter Bamford with enough prior substance for this maiden. GENTLEMAN'S CODE (1) also resumes with a genuine winning case after finishing within two lengths at both York runs before his spell, and the 4kg claim gives him another positive. OUR DEGREE (4) was well held on debut at Bunbury, yet being bumped at the start and covering ground throughout gives him a legitimate improvement angle second-up. AL'S GAL (9) was disappointing when well fancied at Mingenew, but her narrow Carnarvon second two back keeps her in the mix if she begins cleanly. DASH HE MUST (3) can feature first-up.
