CANNY MISS (7) settled just behind the leading division then lengthened beautifully to score by three lengths a fortnight ago in a BM62 over 1200m. Lightly raced mare who is improving at a rate of knots. Up in grade today but has the scope to handle the challenge. BOHEMIAN ANGEL (5) ended a frustrating run of minor placings with a barnstorming win over 1200m at Morphettville four weeks ago. Honest mare with a fine record at or around this distance. Callow sticks and so should punters. STAR SIRIUS (1) made some late inroads but was never a threat first-up in a much stronger race than this. Nicely placed to play a big role but a poor second-up record is hard to completely ignore. TROPICAL HOUSE (6) is back after a 24-week lay-off. Opened last prep with a placing over 1600m so this is a different approach. One for the exotics. Last start Gawler winner CHAMPAGNE JENNI (3) takes on a better race today but is worth an each-way ticket at odds.
